Includes high-lift canard with the stock 230 hp engine. Retains all of the slow-speed performance, handling characteristics, safe STOL performance, maneuverability, low-speed loitering capability and safety of the 260SE/STOL. Due to the smaller engine, cruise speed in 140 knots, rate of climb is 1,150 fpm, and takeoff distance is 475 ft. All 1970-1980 Cessna 182s are eligible for this conversion.

Designed to work in the back country with unimproved landing areas. Incorporates oversized tires, heavy duty nose fork, heavy duty axles and brakes, along with the time-proven leaf spring landing gear. Takeoff and landing distances are 385 ft. at gross weight and cruise speed is 140 knots. All other performance figures are the same as our 260SE/STOL. This airplane is the perfect utility airplane, or perfect for traveling to all those out-of-the-way spots. Price based on using the Cessna 182N airframe. If a wing leading edge cuff is desired, add $3,800.

IO-470 Engine Upgrade Kit

The 260 hp engine decreases the takeoff distance by 25%, increases the rate of climb by 300-400 fpm, increases the TAS by 10 knots, and increases the service ceiling by 3,000 feet, all on the same fuel consumption as the present 230 hp engine. The engine kit consists of parts manufactured specifically for this conversion, i.e., header tank, firewall dishpan, brackets, etc. In addition to our kit, there are several Cessna parts and miscellaneous hardware required. Installation time is approximately 70 hours. 1962-1986 models of the Cessna 182 are certified for the installation. The IO-470 engine upgrade is available through select repair facilities.
