For both Katmai and the 260SE, we chose the rugged and well-proven Cessna 182 airframe. Its large cabin, high useful load, and its cross country capability made it the logical choice.

At the heart of our airplane's remarkable performance is the high-lift canard. With this system, the the Katmai and the 260 SE can safely fly at speeds of 55 knots while maintaining a safe, flat, stall-resistant attitude. No other airplane can equal this nimble maneuverability, short-field ability, and safety.

Power is provided by a TCM IO-470-F engine (fuel injected, 260 hp). This engine provides increased performance with a reduced take off distance, increased rate of climb, and higher service ceiling. The IO-470 is fuel efficient, extremely reliable, and comes with full Continental factory warranty.

The entire airplane undergoes a complete detailed aerodynamic clean up. Special attention is given to the high-drag areas of the landing gear, forward fuselage, cowl, engine baffles, and canard. This provides for increased cruise speed, improved rate of climb, and higher glide ratio.

The Katmai and the 260SE/STOL are available with a wide variety of luxurious custom interiors and paint jobs. In addition, owners can specify instrument and radio packages to meet their needs.
